The crisp white hand block printed shapes flourish over the soft emerald green base. Depicting traditional Indian florals symbolising nature and tradition. It is an ancient Indian textile technique that brings a story and injects soul into each piece. Our fabric is sourced rom Rajastan in northern India where skilled printers have been shown printing techniques passed down through family traditions. The wooden teak blocks get designs drawn onto the wood, a repeat pattern is created and then the wood gets prepared for printing with dyes onto the cloth. Each repeated print cloth requires skill, patience and exceptional artistry.
At Sundown we want to preserve and showcase this mesmerising textile technique, it is craftsmanship at its finest. We then take this precious fabric and hand make these cloth pieces into lampshades for your home.

You decide - lampshade fitting at the BOTTOM (table) or the TOP (ceiling) of the lampshade.
All lampshades fit Australian, New Zealand, UK, European lamp bases designed for being adaptable to global lampshade base ranges you may have.
A removable plastic reducer is included in the lampshade inner fitting ring. The lampshade fitting has an internal diameter of 40mm or 29mm with the reducer. Lampshades will fit lightbulbs of sizes E27, B22 or E14
Our lampshades are all handmade in Australia and made to order. Please allow 2-8 business days to make and dispatch.
This is for the lampshade only, a lamp base and lightbulb is not included.
As each piece is handmade to to order it will be cut from a whole piece of the fabric, so each layout of the pattern may vary.
If the fabric is from our block printed or batik range there may be some slight imperfections to the print finish of your fabric, *please remember this comes from an ancient hand printed application, and these slight imperfections only add to the charm of the fabric and surroundings in which it was created*
